Teams of Six

Up to 6 peoples scores count towards the overall points tally for your team. Your team make-up is completely flexible - men, women, kids, members, non-members.

Play when it suits you

You only need to fit in 9 holes, once per week. You don't have to all play at the same time or even day. If you are playing in a regular Members comp you can use 9 holes from that round (just tell us which 9 beforehand).

All Abilities

All players will be handicapped after a brief assessment for those without a handicap yet. OGL handicaps work differently to regular handicaps. handicaps are adjusted each week depending on results.

Celebrate the fun

Golf should be fun! Your team entry fee includes an afterparty for all players who play at least 4 of the 6 rounds. Dinner and a drink provided.

Frequently asked questions

Your team of 6 players are each given an official OGL/02 handicap which is reviewed every week. The 9 holes are scored Stableford points style. If you play to your handicap you’ll earn 18 points towards your team total. 

Each person can only contribute 1 round per week to the team total.

There are weekly prizes for individuals, but the main kudos (and riches) goes to the team with the highest total number of points at the end of 6 rounds.

All rounds in the Orange Golf League are played at Duntryleague Golf Club, Woodward Street, Orange.

You can play whenever suits you and tee times are available. If you are a member you can play in your normal comp and have 9 holes count towards OGL/02.

Social play is available every afternoon at Duntryleague except Saturdays. With longer days, afternoons are usually the perfect time to play 9 holes.

You don’t have to play at the same time as all your teammates. You just need to commit to play one round of 9 holes per week for the six weeks.

Beginners can absolutely play, it’s the perfect way to get into golf. We’ll have a quick look at you before the first round to give you a starting handicap. It doesn’t matter if you are not a member of a golf club yet. It’s a great way to test the water – many people actually end up joining a club after playing in an event like this.

Well, you don’t have to, but that’s the whole idea of it. If you don’t play, your team will miss out on points. No-one can submit points for you. Players also have to play at least 4 rounds to be eligible for FREE entry to the after party ($60 for non players).

OGL/02 kicks off on Monday 21st February. Play 9 holes anytime from then until Sunday 27th February to score points for Rd 1.
